** Leviticus 4:13 “‘If the whole union of Israel strays unintentionally and the matter is not noticed BY THE MULTITUDE (of them), and they violate one of the Lord’s commandments, which must not be violated, so they become guilty,

Note: the septuagint writers used sunago-ogay twice meaning that qahal’s use is similar to a personal pronoun in this verse. The multitude is just the people of the edah of Israel. * Leviticus 4:14 THE MULTITUDE (everyone) must present a young bull for a sin offering when the sin THEY have committed becomes known. They must bring it before the Meeting Tent,

** Leviticus 4:21 He must bring the rest of the bull outside the camp and burn it just as he burned the first bull – it is the sin offering FOR THE MULTITUDE (for the whole as opposed to the individual).

* Leviticus 16:17 Nobody is to be in the Meeting Tent when he enters to make atonement in the holy place until he goes out, and he has made atonement on his behalf, on behalf of his household, and on behalf of THE whole MULTITUDE of Israel (as opposed to the individual).

Leviticus 16:33 and he is to purify the Most Holy Place, he is to purify the Meeting Tent and the altar, and he is to make atonement for the priests and for THE WHOLE MULTITUDE (as opposed to the individual himself) of the people.
