Mission Statement
The goal of this blog is found in the Latin phrase SEMPER REFORMANDA which means “always reforming”. This is really another way of saying SOLA SCRIPTURA or “scripture alone” is our standard. The drive to move away from un-New Testament-historical tradition and towards New Testament tradition is highly important to those who adhere to this line of thinking. I am one who adheres to this line of thinking. This drive to reform our life back to Scripture is important to me.
The areas that have been dealt with historically in classical Reformed Theology are generally the doctrines concerning God’s nature and His attributes and Christ’s nature and His attributes and the issue of how a sinful man can be made right with a perfect God. Christians have focussed their attention toward these ideas throughout history, specially in Protestant history. But they have neglected the area of Ecclesiology.
The focus of Ecclesiology Proper is to continue the reformation by bringing christians back to Scripture concerning our Ecclesiology, concerning how we live our lives individually and corporately as believers. We have noticed that the individual and corporate practice of the New Testament believers is starkly different from that of classic to modern day believers and that the center of this corruption is in something we call “church”. Church is a hedge around Scripture that turns our worship of God and corporate fellowship into hypocrisy and gives us excuses to disobey God while calling ourselves holy. The word ecclesia in the Bible does not mean church because church is a christian coined phrase while ecclesia was a secular Greek word. By putting the word church or congregation in Scripture, translators have eisogeted all our modern understanding of church into Scripture that depicts the family of God as something quite different.
This blog is dedicated to this cause. Stop eisogeting church into scripture and start being the family of God with other believers in your neighborhood.
Huge amen to that bro
