ai ekklhsiai (ai ek’klaysiai / αι εκκλησιαι – Acts 16:5, Romans 16:4, 16, 1 Corinthians 11:16, 16:19, Revelation of John 1:19-20, 2:23
Acts 16:4-6
4 As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered to them for observance the decisions that had been reached by the Apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem.
* 5 Thus THE MULTITUDES were strengthened in the faith, and they grew in number daily.
6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to proclame the teaching in ASIA.
Note: non traditional use. How can a talk or a hearing be formed or strengthened or grow in number? This is referring to individuals
* Romans 16:4 who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all THE foreign MULTITUDES, give thanks as well.
Note: meetings can not give thanks. The people at the meetings can. This is non traditional use of ekklesia
Romans 16:15-17
15 Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.
* 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All THE MULTITUDES (who belong to Christ) greet you. (“belonging to Christ” qualifies this sentence so that the greek reader understands this is not the political ekklesia that Paul is referring to.)
17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
Note: traditionally an ekklesia could never greet someone because it was just a community council meeting. The people at the hearing could greet someone, if that is how Paul is using this word but that is syntactically very strange.
* 1 Corinthians 11:16 If anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such practice, nor any of THE MULTITUDES (who belong to God).

Revelation of John 1:19-20
19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.
20 As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the messengers of THE seven MULTITUDES, and seven MULTITUDES are the seven lampstands.
Revelation of John 2:22
22 Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works,
* 23 and I will strike her children dead. And all THE MULTITUDES will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of YOU as YOUR works deserve.
24 But to the rest of YOU (members) in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to YOU I say, I do not lay on YOU any other burden.
