Psalms
Psalms 22:22, 25, 26:5, (Greek 26:12), 35:18, 40:9-10, (Greek 68:26), 89:5, 107:32, 149:1
* Psalms 22:22 I will declare your name to my countrymen! In the middle OF THE MULTITUDE I will praise you!
()
Note: see 2 Chronicles 20:14
Psalms 22:25 You are the reason I offer praise IN great MULTITUDE(S); I will fulfill my promises before Y’H'Vah’s loyal followers.
(b’qa-hall robb / en ek’klaysia megalay)
Note: It seems that Hebrew and Greek are similar to Japanese in that they don’t use plurals the way we do in English to denote “general” things. When I say apples are good, I don’t mean the same thing as when I say there are apples on the table. In one case the plural denotes generality where in the other case it refers to more than one of something. I wonder if this “generality” is denoted by the lack of the definite article in Greek and Hebrew the same way a plural noun would in English. This is why I added an “S”. This offering of praise is something that he does on a regular basis it seems. See Psalms 26:5, 35:18, 89:5
* Psalms 26:5 I hate (in general) MULTITUDE(S) of evil men, and do not associate with the wicked.
(q’hall mre’eem / ek’klaysian ponay-ryu-omen-own)
Note: See Psalms 22:25
Also note the non spiritual nature of qahall/ecclesia Genesis 49:6
** Psalms 26:12 My foot stands on level ground; IN A GREAT MULTITUDE/IN MULTITUDES I will bless the LORD.
(b’mah q’hell-leem / en ek’klay-see-ice)
Note: Interesting English translation. Though the Greek and Hebrew are both plural most English translations render this as singular. This shows that qahall/ecclesia are rendered best by words like multitude or swarm or lot or mass or crowd in which the plural does not grow in number but in size. See interesting translations of qahall/ecclesia Numbers 22:4
* Psalms 35:18 Then I will give you thanks IN great MULTITUDE(s in general); I will praise you before large crowd(s) of people (in general)!
(b’qa-hall rabb / en ek’klaysia pol-lay)
Note: see 2 Chronicles 20:14, 22:25
Also for the unspiritual nature of qahall/ecclesia see Genesis 49:6
Lack of definite article, see Psalms 22:25
* Psalms 40:9 I have told great MULTITUDE(s in general) about your justice. Look! I spare no words! O Y’H'Vah, you know this is true.
(b’qa-hall robb / en ek’klaysia megalay)
Note: see 2 Chronicles 20:14, 22:25
Lack of definite article, see Psalms 22:25
* Psalms 40:10 I have not failed to tell about your justice; I spoke about your reliability and deliverance; I have not neglected to tell great MULTITUDE(s in general) about your loyal love and faithfulness.
(l’qa-hall robb/ apo sunago-ogays pol-lays)
Note: see 2 Chronicles 20:14, 22:25
Also note the Greek use of sunago-ogays in reference to qahall. This shows that the Greek word sunago-ogays is more general than e’Dah. Where e’Dah is always used in reference to the union/commonwealth of Israel here sunago-ogays is used to mean a lot of people. This also shows the similarity between the words suango-ogays and ecclesia.
* Psalms 68:26 “Bless God IN A GREAT MULTITUDE/IN MULTITUDES, the LORD, O you who are of Israel’s fountain!”
(b’mah q’hell-leem / en ek’klay-see-ice)
Note: See interesting translations of qahall/ecclesia Numbers 22:4
Also see Psalms 26:12
* Psalms 89:5 O Y’H'Vah, the heavens will praise/declair your amazing deeds, as well as your faithfulness/truthfulness IN (THE) holy MULTITUDE(s in general).
(beeq’hall q’doe-sheem / en ek’klaysia agi-own)
Note: Hebrew uses definite article while Greek does not. See Psalms 22:25
Also note the unspiritual nature of qahall / ecclesia where it must be qualified with the word holy to represent something holy or a spiritual people. See Genesis 49:6
Psalms 107:32 Let them exalt him IN (THE) MULTITUDE(s) of people! Let them praise him in the seat of the elders!
(beeq’hall ahm / en ek’klaysia laou)
Note: Hebrew uses definite article while Greek does not.
Psalms 149:1 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song! Praise him IN (THE) godly MULTITUDE(s in general)!
(beeq’hall kh’see-Deem / en ek’klaysia assee-own)
Note: Hebrew uses definite article while Greek does not.
