God Calls You
God does not call you to be a PASTOR of a church but to SHEPHERD His people.
God does not call you to become an ELDER in a church but to be a SUPERIOR to a novice in the faith.
1 Peter 5:1-5 ESV
1 So I exhort the superiors among you, being a superior myself and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: 2 SHEPHERD the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; 3 not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief SHEPHERD appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. 5 Likewise, you who are novices, be subject to those superior. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
God does not call you to be an OVERSEER in a church but a LEADER of His people.
Acts 20:28
28 Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you LEADERS, to care for the people of God, who He obtained with his own blood.
God does not call you to become a DEACON in a church but to if not shepherd then ASSIST those who do.
1 Timothy 3:13
13 For those who serve well as ASSISTANTS gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 23:10-11
10 Don’t have others call you a leader, because you have only one leader, the Messiah. 11 The person who would be greatest among you should be your DEACON (servant)
God does not call you to become a church’s EVANGELIST but to SPREAD THE MESSAGE of Christ.
2 Timothy 4:5 YLT
5 And thou–watch in all things; suffer evil; do the work of ONE SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS; of thy service make full assurance,
